Shelby and Mark each studied the Bible and decided to become Christians in 2011: Shelby as a high school student in Stafford, VA, and Mark as a freshman in college at Virginia Tech. They became friends in the campus ministry at VT. They then began leading the NRV Young Professionals' ministry together in 2017, fell in love, and in December 2020, they were married! Mark works as a software developer in Blacksburg, and Shelby works as a study abroad advisor at Virginia Tech. They enjoy movies, the Blacksburg Farmers' Market, fellowship with the other YoPros ministry members, and finding all the best places to eat and explore in the NRV. They love meeting for personal Bible studies with anyone interested in learning about and deepening their relationship with God.
