Alpha Omega is the campus ministry of the Roanoke Valley Church.

 

WHO DOES ALPHA OMEGA SERVE?

Alpha Omega serves students, and college-age young people who wish to go deeper in their faith, serve God, and build community.

• A&O is made up of vibrant and faithful students who are in love with Jesus and dedicated to following him.

• A&O is represented at:

  • Virginia Tech

  • Radford University

  • New River Community College

  • Roanoke College

 

WHAT DOES ALPHA OMEGA BELIEVE?

In addition to the core beliefs of the Roanoke Valley Church,

• A&O believes that God has a divine purpose for each and every one of us and we desire to let God work through us!

• Sometimes we find ourselves lost in this life –

  • wandering and wondering what God’s purpose is for our lives.

As a campus ministry we work daily to encourage and edify each other with the Word of God and the love of Christ.

 

WHAT DOES ALPHA OMEGA DO?

The miracle of this campus ministry is that we are all in the fight together. “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20),” is the battle cry we sing as we strive to let Christ transform us and live through us each day.

• We believe we are a family, and that is how we live – we can’t wait to welcome you into our community!

• We love our God and wish to spread the good news that the Gospel of Jesus brings

  • that we may “declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light,” (1 Peter 2:9).

• We believe in loving one another deeply and serving each other and our community wholeheartedly.

 

WHO BELONGS WITH ALPHA OMEGA?

Anyone – no matter where they are coming from – is welcome here. We desire to help those who are seeking a relationship with God, or wanting to go deeper in their walk with Him in whatever way they may need.

A&O has opportunities such as:

• Intentional small groups

• Personal Bible studies

• Mentoring/discipling relationships

  • available at any time for those who are interested.

 

WHEN DOES ALPHA OMEGA MEET?

A&O meets on campus at Virginia Tech each week for a short worship service

• 7pm on Wednesday evenings.

A&O also meets together each Friday night at 7pm for fun activities and times of fellowship –

• Events vary each week and rotate between campuses at Radford University and VT!

 

DOES ALPHA OMEGA PERFORM COMMUNITY SERVICE?

A&O is also devoted to serving the underprivileged and our communities – service opportunities are always available.

WHO LEADS ALPHA OMEGA?

Benjamin Hutchins and his wife Melina serve as the Campus Ministers.  We also have two part-time interns in Jonah Charles and Natalie Gregory.
